Taking Engine & Chassis Performance to the Next Level
The MULE PRO-FXT 1000 improves on the acclaimed engine and chassis performance of the MULE PRO Series models with a new, larger-displacement Kawasaki-built engine and a sturdy chassis augmented with longer-travel suspension, increased ground clearance and (on the MULE PRO-FXT 1000 LE Ranch Edition) Kawasaki’s first self-levelling rear suspension.
Kawasaki-Built 999 cc Liquid-Cooled, 4-Stroke Parallel Twin Engine
The compact litre-class engine delivers both high power and high torque, as well as an increased top speed. The mild character, complemented by a CVT (continuously variable transmission), offers driver-friendly throttle response and delivers smooth acceleration and deceleration.
Substantial Cargo Bed and Towing Capacity
Like the models in the MULE PRO Series, the MULE PRO-FXT 1000 offers a 453 kg cargo bed capacity*, and a 907 kg towing capacity.
Increased Ground Clearance
Ground clearance 295 mm or greater reduces the chances of the MULE PRO-FXT 1000 models scraping their bottom, which translates to greater accessibility and increased ride comfort.
Optimised Ride Height for Every Load Condition
Kawasaki’s first self-levelling suspension helps keep the vehicle level when carrying a heavy load. When a load compresses the rear suspension, a built-in mechanical pump system automatically pumps up the suspension as the vehicle moves to return the rear of the vehicle to its optimum level. Spreading the weight more evenly benefits both handling and braking performance.
Tough, High-End Styling
The MULE PRO-FXT 1000 models feature a front end based on that of the MULE PRO-FXR, including quad headlights. The serious looks reflect the new models’ ability to perform at work sites and in moderate recreation environments, while a silver Kawasaki emblem on all models and painted parts on the MULE PRO-FXT 1000 LE Ranch Edition add a high-end, premium image.
Quad Headlights
Compact 35 W outer headlights are complemented by LED inner headlights (16.0 W / 9.4 W). The quadruple headlamps cut a bright path.
On the MULE PRO-FXT 1000 LE Ranch Edition, the grille cover is painted to match the bodywork as is the panelling around the headlights, creating a high-end image.
Clean, Automotive-Style Dashboard
Clean dashboard design includes switches for the headlights, selectable 4WD and rear differential lock (and for the winch on the MULE PRO-FXT 1000 LE Ranch Edition). Five (four for the Ranch model) spaces for additional accessory switches have been prepared.
Black cast aluminium wheels
On the MULE PRO-FXT 1000 LE, black cast aluminium wheels add a high-quality touch. Cast aluminium wheels with machined finishing give the MULE PRO-FXT 1000 LE Ranch Edition an even higher-class look.

Double-Wishbone Suspension with Longer Travel
Double-wishbone suspension is used both front and rear to enable each of the wheels to drive over obstacles with minimum effect on the chassis. Longer wheel travel (F: 279 mm; R: 256 mm) contributes to the increased ground clearance as well as ride comfort.
Comfortable Seating for Three, or Six
A wide-body chassis enables a roomy interior space that offers the shoulder and legroom for six adults—three abreast on each of the bench seats.
EPS & Tilt Steering
Kawasaki’s high-grade electric power steering (EPS) system is speed sensitive, offering light steering effort at low speed, while reducing assistance as vehicle speed increases to ensure responsive steering.
Drivers can set the position of the tilt-adjustable steering wheel to suit their preference, as well as lift it out of the way to facilitate getting in and out of the vehicle.
Routine Chores Simplified
Easy access to oil filter (and oil dipstick) and air-cleaner filter greatly facilitates maintenance chores. Further, the improved dust resistance of the new intake duct system results in longer maintenance intervals.
