For children stepping up from a small automatic, or electric-powered motocross model, the TC 65 is the perfect choice. Aboard the 65 cc 2-stroke machine, all youngsters can easily learn how to use a gearbox effectively, with the light and easy-to-use Formula hydraulic clutch providing a consistent biting point for smooth pulling away. The bodywork can be set at two different heights to suit a wider variety of riders, while the plush WP suspension is fully adjustable and easy to set up for maximum comfort. To ensure best-in-class performance on track, the exhaust, DS clutch, Formula brakes, and Twin Air filter combine to create the ultimate riding experience.
The clean and sleek bodywork is scaled down from what is found on the full-size machines and offers the same proven ergonomics. By replicating the design, youngsters will benefit from the larger contact points that allow them to grip the bike tighter with their legs for enhanced control. In addition, a flat seat profile offers unrestricted movement.
Airbox
The process to remove and reinstall the air filter is incredibly simple and allows for faster, cleaner, and easier filter changes. The airbox is accessible by removing the quick release seat by hand, with a failproof snap-lock mounting design for the air filter preventing dirt from falling into the intake tract. Additionally, the Twin Air filter has a large surface area to increase air flow into the engine.
Handlebars & grips
High-quality aluminium handlebars with a black anodised finish minimise vibration and maximise stability. The wide bar bend enhances comfort and leads to better body positioning with thin diameter ODI grips allowing for a heightened level of control.
Fuel tank
Sleek in design and fitted onto the frame inside the ergonomic bodywork, the slim fuel tank offers an ample fuel capacity of 3.5 litres.
Adjustable ergonomics
To accommodate youngsters of different sizes, the TC 65 offers multiple adjustment options to suit a wider range of riders, based on their height and set-up preference. The handlebars can be mounted in four different positions, the rear shock can be repositioned from its standard 'high' position into a lower setting, and the subframe and bodywork can be installed in two different places to suit each individual rider.
Frame
The TC 65 frame is made from chromium molybdenum steel and enhances the riding experience thanks to its precise geometry and flex. Mirroring a proven design concept, the shock is not connected to the upper frame tube to reduce the energy transferred through the chassis, which leads to greater stability. Frame protectors with a textured surface enhance control in all conditions and protects the dark blue metallic powder coating from wear.
Subframe
The lightweight and durable subframe is manufactured using a combination of polyamide reinforced with glass fibre and two steel bars. The hybrid design is robust, with the subframe playing a vital role in ensuring outstanding handling. It is also height adjustable, offering tailored ergonomics to suit the height of the rider.
Forged triple clamps
Forged triple clamps align the forks perfectly and ensure smooth, uncompromised performance from the WP suspension. The upper clamp is designed to prevent dirt and water from reaching the steering bearings, extending the time between services. Overall, the triple clamps offer calculated flex characteristics without sacrificing stability.
WP forks
Featuring the latest in suspension technology, the TC 65 is equipped with 35 mm WP XACT-USD forks. Besides being very lightweight, the forks offer exceptional damping and comfort, which allows for youngsters to ride with complete confidence. The advanced air spring in the left fork leg can be easily adjusted using the supplied air pump to create the perfect set up for any rider, with the forks providing 205 mm of travel.
WP shock
Connecting directly to the swingarm, the WP XACT shock features race-tested settings for exceptional damping. With the ability to adjust the preload, high and low speed compression, and rebound, the WP XACT shock can be tailored to suit any rider.
Swingarm
The hollow die-cast aluminium swingarm is manufactured from a single piece of aluminium for optimal stiffness. In order to optimise and match the flex characteristics of the frame, a 14 mm rear axle is fitted. Additionally, the chain guard and chain slider are designed to prevent mud from building up around the swingarm.
Engine
Assembled with the latest in 2-stroke technology, the TC 65 is a highly competitive machine. Using the lightest and most durable materials to construct each component, the highlight of the engine is undoubtedly the pressure-controlled exhaust valve that ensures the highest level of performance. Additionally, the engine is complete with a manual 6-speed gearbox, a reliable hydraulic clutch, and a BRISK spark plug.
Cylinder & piston
The lightweight and durable aluminium cylinder features a Pressure Controlled Exhaust Valve (PCEV) that helps produce unrivalled performance to give all young riders a distinct advantage.
Transmission
Featuring proven gear ratios developed specifically for the TC 65, the 6-speed gearbox is manufactured using a proven production process for maximum durability.
Carburetor
Settings inside the proven 24 mm Mikuni carburettor maximise performance from the engine. With considered calculations to the jetting, the TC 65 runs cleanly throughout its rev-range.
Exhaust system
The exhaust system boosts performance of the TC 65 considerably. With the welding seams removed from the inside, exhaust gas flow is unrestricted and maximum power is delivered, while a laser-cut exhaust flange gasket provides a perfect seal. The silencer now features a tighter sealing around the end cap and is complete with a black anodised finish.
DS clutch
The TC 65 benefits from full size motorcycle clutch technology with its DS clutch offering considerable durability. Housed inside a steel basket, the Diaphragm Spring (DS) clutch maintains performance and control as the springs constantly compensate for wear. Together with a FORMULA hydraulic clutch, consistent clutch action is guaranteed.
Brakes
By combining hydraulically operated brake calipers from Formula, a 198 mm waved front disc, and a 180 mm waved rear disc, braking performance is both confidence inspiring and reliable. A forged rear brake pedal, featuring the same tip as fou ...
Radiators
For efficient cooling, the TC 65 features two radiators that replicate the same design as found on Husqvarna Motorcycles' full-size motocross machines. A simplified routing of the hoses, together with strong radiator protectors, ensures perf ...
Wheels & tyres
Lightweight aluminium hubs are laced to black anodised, aluminium rims using strong spokes to create a reliable set of wheels. Complete with Maxxis Maxxcross MX-ST tyres, young riders will enjoy the benefits of excellent traction and predict ...
