Precisely tuned for performance: the RR. Here, success is measured in millimetres. That’s why the superbike has undergone ongoing development: from the new, more aerodynamic trim panels with winglets, to the front wheel mudguard with M Brake Ducts, right up to performance-oriented details, such as the quick action throttle that reduces the throttle path by 14 degrees. With the Pro riding mode, you will now have a handle on all situations as standard. The goal is, was, and always will be clear: new pole positions – #NeverStopChallenging.
It’s hard to imagine the race track without it – and the RR is also intrinsically linked to it
You can achieve new personal bests with the more aerodynamic front and side trim panels. The new winglets generate up to 50% more downforce on the road: with 5.9 kg at 150 km/h, 10.6 kg at 200 km/h, 16.03 kg at 250 km/h, and a whopping 23.1 kg at 300 km/h. This counteracts the tendency of the front wheel to lift off the road surface when accelerating.
Performance on screen
Off to the pit lane after a few laps around the racetrack: The last screen used is always displayed after you switch the ignition off/on. This helps you concentrate and stay focused on your mode. One Pure Ride screen and three different Core screens are available depending on your preference. The system displays a suitable maximum speed when the engine is cold. The shift light now clearly indicates when the rotational-speed sensor is flashing. Thanks to the clear TFT display, you can quickly view all other settings as well.
Framework conditions – quite literally
Accuracy to the millimetre for the highest level of precision: The M chassis kit with raised rear end and adjustable swing arm pivot is standard. Frame recesses ensure lateral flexibility. The flat steering head angle and the offset of the fork bridge provide precision at the front wheel. The damping of the DDC in the Road, Dynamic, and Race modes with Race Pro 1 to 3 means that you can ride on country roads with street damping.
Confidence in corners
The riding modes Pro, which are now included as standard, and steering angle sensor enable two new functions: Brake Slide Assist for deceleration and Slide/Slip Control for acceleration. The steering angle sensor measures your drift angle and, in conjunction with the DTC, ensures optimum slip. DTC settings 2 and 3 have been optimised for the racetrack and slicks. Brake Slide Assist helps you master power drifts like these in no time at all: for more dynamic performance around every turn.
Even more efficient front and side trim panels with winglets
The front and side trim panels have been redesigned for enhanced aerodynamics – you can now identify them based on the characteristic shark gills. The downforce generated by the winglets has been increased by up to 50% – at 300 km/h, that equates to a whopping 23.1 kg.
Dynamic front view and tall windscreen
Less helmet vibrations: the front with the high windscreen guarantees outstanding aerodynamics around the head. The isolation of the fork bridge brings about further aerodynamic advantages.
Powerful M Lightweight battery
Every gramme counts: the high-quality and durable M Lightweight battery with state-of-the-art lithium-ion technology saves a full 2 kilogrammes of weight.
Quick action throttle
Optimised handling: thanks to the quick action throttle, it’s even easier to accelerate. The significantly smaller torque angle of 58° is what makes this possible.
A drive for performance: Engine concept
Details and transfers from motorsport: The cylinder head geometry is identical to that in the M RR. 154 kW (210 hp) allows for top performance.
Dynamic rear end with a short number plate carrier
More than just appearance: The dynamic rear end makes the RR light and sporty. The M Cover kit accessory for track days is easy to attach, just like in professional racing.
M Carbon tail-hump cover with camera adapter
The Carbon tail-hump cover features a recess, which is used with the adapter to attach an action cam, or for mounting the M data logger GPS mouse.
Everything in hand: the steering angle sensor
The innovative steering angle sensor ensures that the Brake Slide Assist and Slip-Slide Control assistance system can do their best work on the racetrack.
